Accessibility statement

“We, TAUROA GmbH, are committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of our website and all associated services. This statement informs you about our efforts to comply with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG) implementing EU Directive 2019/882. Here you can find out which parts of our website are already accessible, which are not yet accessible, and how you can contact us if you encounter problems.”

01. Status of compliance with the requirements

“This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Accessibility Guidelines in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG). We are continuously working on identifying and removing existing barriers.”

02. Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

a) Disproportionate burden:

Videos on YouTube:
Videos are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions or a text alternative (WCAG success criterion 1.2.3 (Audio Description or Media Alternative) and 1.2.5 (Audio Description)), making the spoken content unavailable to deaf users. We believe that remedying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

Videos in general:
For some recorded videos and audio files, the required audio description or text alternative is missing (WCAG success criterion 1.2.3 (Audio Description or Media Alternative) and 1.2.5 (Audio Description)), making the spoken content unavailable to deaf users. We believe that remedying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

PDF:
Our PDF documents are not entirely accessible. If you require a specific PDF file from us that is not yet available in an accessible format, please let us know via our contact form. We are working on further improvements regarding the provision of PDF documents in an accessible format and ask you to contact us if you notice any barriers.

Grids and Sliders by WP Grid Builder:
WP Grid Builder is used on the website to display overviews (grids and some sliders). Despite manufacturer claims to the contrary, this technology is not fully accessible; it can be operated accessibly, but in some cases, assistive technologies such as screen readers read out irrelevant information.

Foreign language words:
Some foreign language words or phrases that appear in the alternative texts of images used on the website, in link descriptions, as well as in headings, are often not pronounced correctly by assistive technologies such as screen readers. Editing the pronunciation is currently not technically possible.

Pop-Up Operability:

Some pop-ups on the website are partially difficult to operate via keyboard; adjusting these is currently not technically possible.

Vertically aligned text:

On certain subpages, text is displayed vertically for design purposes. This type of text alignment can make reading more difficult—especially when using magnification software or for individuals with cognitive impairments—and is therefore not fully accessible. Adapting this would fundamentally change the existing design concept and, in our view, constitutes a disproportionate burden.

b) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation:

  • Live time-based media
  •

  • Online maps and mapping services
  •

  • Internal areas and external tools
  •

  • External content such as social media feeds

c) Booking system

For online booking as well as registration and management in the benefits club, we use the Seekda Booking Engine platform, which is operated by an external provider. The accessibility of these systems is beyond our direct control. Therefore, we cannot currently guarantee unrestricted accessibility.

If you experience difficulties using the online booking system or the benefits club, we will be happy to assist you via the contact options listed in point 05. Bookings and benefits club offers are available through these channels under the same conditions.
