A walk to St John's Chapel

The Johanneskapelle chapel stands on the small Calvary hill in Pürgg. From there, you get the feeling of being able to look out over the entire Enns Valley. In the past, this vantage point was probably more for the defence of Pürgg, but today it is a focal point for visitors. Especially as St John’s Chapel is famous for its well-preserved medieval frescoes. We recommend that all guests take the short walk to take in the view and the atmosphere of this precious spot. Whether before the meal (to “earn” dessert) or after the meal, the walk is well worth it.
