The incomparable flair of the Landhaus is reflected in the exquisite cuisine that you can discover in the restaurant. Exquisite dishes – or rather flavours and emotions, which the kitchen team creates with the utmost respect from the exceptional ingredients of the region, a breathtaking view over Wolfgangsee into the mountains and the enchanting atmosphere of the Landhaus.
In addition to delicious Austrian classics, you will also find a la carte dishes that have almost been forgotten. A selection of wonderful cheeses or hot or cold desserts round off a lovely lunch or dinner in this unique ambience.
The extensive wine and bar menu invites you to round off the day in a cosy atmosphere and perhaps someone will be playing the piano in the lounge next door ….
Beach bar
Whether you moor your boat directly at the hotel’s own jetty or walk through the enchanting park with its old trees to the beach bar – you will definitely feel the magic of this “marvellous spot on earth” at this special beach bar. Here you can unwind and savour the moment with all your senses. As a house guest, but of course also as a day guest.
Exceptional salad variations, deliciously topped pide, beef tartare and much more are served. And the selection of champagne, exquisite wines, homemade lemonade or the Wolfgangsee Bellini, alongside classic long drinks and imaginative cocktails invite you to stay until sunset or even longer.
The beach bar will be open again in May 2025!
Excellent cuisine
Head chef Thomas Hรถfler inspires with unique dishes that become a holistic taste experience through outstanding craftsmanship and the fine composition of valuable ingredients and the highest respect for the food.
Thomas Hรถfler was born in Linz on 13 July 1982. He completed his training as a chef at the Hotel Donauschlinge in Haibach. After gaining experience at Michelin-starred establishments and two and three Gault Millau toques, such as the Restaurant Riedenburg (Salzburg) and the Relais & Chateaux Hotel Tennerhof (Kitzbรผhel), he joined Carpe Diem Finest Fingerfood as sous chef in 2008. In 2011, he took the opportunity to do an internship at Alinea in Chicago, USA, where he was able to work with the exceptional chef Grant Achatz, who has been awarded three Michelin stars, and bring numerous inspirations back to Austria. At the end of 2017, the likeable chef took over as head chef at Carpe Diem Finest Fingerfood, where his cuisine was repeatedly awarded a Michelin star and three Gault Millau toques. Since 2019, Thomas Hรถfler has been cooking with us at Wolfgangsee, where he also enjoys spending his free time with his family.
Breakfast
It is a particularly delicious start to the day and a treat for all the senses – breakfast at the Landhaus zu Appesbach directly on Wolfgangsee. The extensive ร la carte menu leaves nothing to be desired – from fine egg dishes to fluffy waffles, smoked fish variations to delicious porridge or a fresh smoothie.
These are freshly prepared and served with a selection of hot and cold drinks. The tempting buffet also offers a wide variety of breads, Danish pastries, fruit and yoghurt varieties, muesli, sausage, homemade jam, honey and fruit juices – all from the region, of course.
And the marvellous view across the lake to the mountain panorama is guaranteed with every breakfast.
